The Authority were the inspiration behind the Justice Lords in the Justice League episode "A Better World".

It´s likely that the plot of Future State Midnighter ("The Passenger") was inspired by the 2018 movie Upgrade.

Extended ...

Before The Authority, he was in a team called Stormwatch Zero, created by Henry Bendix and led by Apollo. He has body modifications that allow him to be able to predict his opponents movements by running them through his mind several times and heal fast (from both diseases and injuries), he is also faster and stronger than ´average´ humans. It´s revealed he´s in a relationship with Apollo in The Authority vol 1 #8 and the two get married and adopt Jenny Quantum at the end of the same volume. He´s known by the alias Lucas Trent, first introduced in Midnighter (2006) but seen throughout the DC universe too. For instance, this alias was mentioned by Batman in the Batman/Superman Authority Special!
